Each September since 1996 a group of professional artists have hosted the Crossing Borders Studio Tour and Sale along the North Shore of Lake Superior, during the peak of the autumn leaf colors. In 1996 the concept was simple, pool our resources, print a map and open our doors to everyone.

The evolution of Crossing Borders Studio Tour continues. In 2012 the tour begins on Friday, September 28th and is open daily, from 10 – 6, through Sunday, October 7th. We, Michael Tonder and Jody Freij-Tonder, have participated every year and intend to keep up the tradition of good art, good hospitality and good conversations.
